Community Guidelines

These guidelines apply to everything you do in AI Friend chat: your messages, the characters you create, their names, descriptions and portraits, and your reports. They are part of our Terms of Service. AI Friend chat is for adults 18+, and every character is AI, not a real person.

What's not allowed

Anything involving minors. No sexual, romantic or exploitative content involving anyone under 18, in any form, including role-play, "age-play", fictional or "aged-up" scenarios, or characters with childlike bodies, behavior or descriptions. This is zero tolerance. See our Child Safety Standards.

Sexually explicit content. No pornographic or graphic sexual content in chats, character descriptions or portraits.

Real people. No sexual or intimate content about real, identifiable people. No characters that copy or impersonate a real person (celebrity, public figure, or someone you know) without their consent. No deepfakes.

Self-harm and suicide. No content that encourages, glorifies or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. If you are struggling, the app will point you to real help; in the US, call or text 988.

Violence and extremism. No threats, content that glorifies real-world violence, terrorism or violent extremist groups, or instructions for weapons or explosives.

Hate and harassment. No content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or serious illness. No bullying, threats, doxxing or sharing someone's private information.

Illegal and dangerous activity. No help with drugs, weapons, fraud, scams, phishing, hacking, malware or any other crime.

Deception. No impersonating AI Friend chat staff, other users or organizations, no misleading election, health or emergency information, and no spam.

Intellectual property. No copyrighted characters, brands or artwork you don't have the rights to use.

Abusing the Service. No jailbreaking or bypassing safety filters, no bots or automated access, no multiple accounts to avoid a ban or farm free Coins.

Characters you publish

Private characters are visible only to you, but they must still follow these guidelines. Public characters can be found and chatted with by other users, so they meet a higher bar:

  • every public character is reviewed before it goes live, and may be rejected or removed later;

  • the name, description, greeting and portrait must be suitable for a general adult audience: no nudity, sexual poses, gore or shocking images;

  • characters must be clearly adults, with no childlike features or descriptions;

  • characters must be original, or based on content you have the rights to, and must not represent real people;

  • characters must not be designed to scam, manipulate or extract personal or payment information from other users;

  • tags and descriptions must be accurate.

If your public character is not showing, it may still be in review or may have been rejected; check its status in My characters.

Reporting

You can report any message, character or user in two taps, without leaving the chat: long-press a message or open a character's menu and tap Report. Choose a reason and add details if you want. You can also email support@zoutchdigital.digital.

Reports are reviewed by our safety team, usually within 24 hours, and reports about minors are prioritized. We don't tell the reported user who reported them.

Blocking

If you don't want to see a character, open it, tap the menu and tap Block. A blocked character disappears from your feed and search, and you can't chat with it. You can unblock it at any time in Profile → Blocked characters.

What happens when rules are broken

Depending on how serious the violation is, we may:

  • block a reply or remove content;

  • reject or unpublish a character;

  • show a warning;

  • temporarily restrict features such as publishing characters or chatting;

  • suspend or permanently ban the account, and block new accounts from the same person.

Any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors leads to an immediate permanent ban and a report to the authorities. If you think we made a mistake, reply to our notice or email support@zoutchdigital.digital to appeal, and a person will review it.
