These standards explain how ZOUTCH DIGITAL PTE. LTD., the operator of AI Friend chat, prevents and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to the app, the website, every character (ours and user-created) and every user.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

We prohibit any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children, including:

  • child sexual abuse material (CSAM), whether real, drawn, AI-generated or described in text;

  • sexual or romantic role-play involving a minor, a character described as a minor, or a character with childlike features, behavior or age cues, including "aged-up" or fictional framings;

  • grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to contact, groom or exploit a real child;

  • requests to create, find, trade or describe such material.

Our AI characters are instructed to refuse such content, and any attempt is blocked, logged and reviewed.

18+ only and age gate

  • AI Friend chat is intended for adults aged 18 and over only, and is listed with the highest available age rating in each app store.

  • Every user must confirm their birth date before the first chat. Users under 18 cannot create an account.

  • We use age signals from Apple, Google and the device operating system where available, and act on any sign that a user may be a minor.

  • Accounts we believe belong to a minor are suspended and their data deleted.

  • Every character, including user-created ones, must be clearly an adult.

How we detect and moderate

  • Before content is generated: safety instructions given to the AI, and automated filters on user messages, character descriptions and portrait prompts that block requests involving minors.

  • After content is generated: automated classifiers check AI replies and generated images before they are shown.

  • Human review: every public character is reviewed before publishing; flagged chats, characters and reports are reviewed by trained staff, with reports about minors handled first.

  • Repeat offenders: accounts that try to bypass these protections are banned, and we take steps to stop them creating new accounts.

How to report

  • In the app: long-press any message, or open a character's or user's menu, and tap Report → Involves a minor. Reporting works without leaving the chat.

  • By email: support@zoutchdigital.digital.

  • Parents and guardians who believe a child is using AI Friend chat can email us with the account email or username, and we will act quickly.

Do not send us images of abuse. Describe what you saw and where, and we will preserve the evidence.

Reporting to NCMEC and authorities

When we become aware of apparent CSAM or child exploitation, we:

  • remove the content and disable the account immediately;

  • preserve the relevant data as required by law;

  • report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and to the relevant national authorities, including the Singapore Police Force where applicable;

  • cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

We comply with all applicable child safety laws in the countries where AI Friend chat is available.
